Large-scale Russian Strikes Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the G7 - in delivering protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults follow periods of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

He said energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
